  Fabulous Fare

  Our bar was high, after leaving the lushness of Tuscany that morning on our way to Venice, then driving through the uninspiring outskirts of Bologna, we couldn't imagine an agriturismo in this area. Moments later, the apartments disappeared and we were surrounded by vineyards. Ashamedly speaking little Italian, other than the basics, it didn't stop us having a great time and enjoying a wonderful dinner in their restaurant that night. The daughter of the owner who runs the restaurant was really lovely - going to great effort, despite being very busy, to explain the menu and take our orders. We all raved about their risotto with aceto balsamica (such flavour from such simplicity) and the breakfast they provide is wonderful too. Thanks to all the staff and especially Janice, for her translating and wonderful breakfast.

  Highly recommended!!!

  We stayed for 5 days and it was really very good. Nice staff always ready to help and to make your stay very pleasant. Good location to discover the area (close to highway and to Bologna but at the same time very quiet and surrounded by nature). We liked the room, breakfasts and dinners we had in Borgo delle Vigne. The wines Gaggioli produced in the agriturismo are very good ( we liked most of all Pignoletto Brut). Many thanks to Letizia for her hospitality. We really recommend this place :-).

  Lovely Place, but disappointing

  Lovely rooms, lovely setting and a very nice place to stay. Letizia is very nice as are the other staff, however if your only language is English, then staying here is difficult as Letizias English is poor so we had to rely on staff, both house keeping staff and from the vineyard when they were around. Thanks to both Janice and Daniele for being our trusty interpreters who made staying there possible and for showing us around. Also on our last night, Letizia had accepted a group booking for the restaurant downstairs ... the noise was so loud it was like sleeping on top of a disco! When I tried to complain to Letizia it was impossible with her limited English (she seemed to be saying we were the only people that were booked upstairs so she thought it was OK as she would just be disturbing one couple and we would have to put up with it until 12 pm!). The other complaint is that the agriturismo is advertised with Internet coverage this is not so as there was no coverage in our room, and I had to rely on going to outside the front door if I wanted a reliable connection not so convenient. Additionally the Internet is only available by getting a voucher for 1, 2 or 10 hours from Letizia which is not convenient as she is not there the whole time. For the price we paid, was not value for money and as we select accommodation only if there is wifi available, this Agriturismo delle Vigne was misleading and extremely disappointing.

  Beautiful setting, comfortable room

  We were only able to stay one night at the agriturismo, but we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It's a little off the beaten path, but that added to the atmosphere. My wife and strolled through the family's vineyard and enjoyed a glass of wine on the front porch. Since we stayed there on a Sunday night, the restaurant wasn't open, but Letizia arranged for us to go to a local restaurant to eat. It was a casual local restaurant, but the food was outstanding. I can't recall the name. The room was very comfortable and spacious, and breakfast the next morning was outstanding. We would definitely stay again if we are in the area. Price was very reasonable as well.

  Lovely stay in beautiful surroundings

  We felt very welcome from the first minute of arrival. The room was very tidy and the bathroom clean. The dinner with tasting of their own wines was very delicious, although you are not used to have that much for one meal. The vineyard tour was a smaller disappointment. Elena told basic facts, but couldn´t (didn´t?) understand our questions. On Sunday we had not booked a lunch, but it was fixed for us - again all too much to eat... Their Pignoletto is very good. Letizia, Elena and all the other in the staff were all very friendly
