Instalation are regular, but service is poorMaybe we did not have good luck in this hotel, since it was schedule to stay at the Perugia and in the last moment the Romantic Spa package transfered us to the Aggravi. The reception was not warm and the breakfast was very poor, specially in the last day. Room and bathroom were clean but very simple and basic. Hotel was empty in the last night and several lights turned off, giving a certain abandoned and scary ambient look.

Tuscany is wonderful, this hotel is not..My partner and I had such a wonderful experience in TUSCANY, it is truly one of Italy's most beautiful regions. We stayed at Hotel Aggravi and really left feeling a bit disappointed. Upon our arrival we were greeted warmly by a very kind lady who seemed to have it together and gave us the idea that we were staying at a well organized hotel, we would later come to learn this was simply not true. As you will also notice the hotels website says "every room has a balcony", when we walked in we were displeased to find our room did not. I asked "I was just curious because your website advertises very clearly that every room has a balcony, are their any available." the response was "they are all over", I was confused, where i come from this is false advertising and bad customer service. It did not stop there, we went out for the night and upon our return to the hotel, as we pulled up we noticed every light in the hotel was off. As we went to let our selves into the dark hotel, every door was locked, my cell phone had 3% of battery left and my partners was dead we were confused. We rang the bell for over thirty minutes with no answer, and then finally used the last of our battery to call a cell phone listed on the website, where the man who answered told us that it was our fault for not leaving the key to our room behind. Had someone ever informed us that this was a requirement of the hotel, or that the Hotel had a curfew and would be shut down completely we would have simply obliged and avoided an extremely unpleasant experience. This situation only got worse as we waited for the door to be unlocked we were greeted coldly by one of the hotel employees who did not apologize, did not attempt to appease the situation but said firmly "we are not obliged to have someone at the hotel 24 hours", strike two. Yes after researching a three star hotel is not obliged to have a twenty four hour staff however this does not free them from their obligation to properly inform their guests of the rules and requirements of their stay to enable their safe return to their room. Finally upon check out we were informed, and this is strike three that "we were not the first this has happened to and we would not be the last" which only highlights that this hotel is not one who is concerned with quality control and customer service. My partner is Italian and I am American we have both stayed at three star hotels all over the world and this is the first time we have had such an experience, never was their an apology issued so we wont be returning or recommending this hotel there are plenty in the area that i'm sure will offer a better experience. I will say the room as it was old, like most of the hotels in this area was clean and the location was convenient for what we intended to do. As you will notice the staff or possibly the owner responds to negative postings and rarely issues an apology or accepts any responsibility for the lack of quality his establishment posses...

Pleasant hotelI stayed at this hotel as part of a group of 7 with Omega holidays. On arrival there was no one on duty who could speak English and were greeted by a lady who, as we discovered later, did a bit of everything in the hotel. Travelling on my own I always dread the moment when I open the door to my room but no complaints here - a spacious room with double bed, sizeable bathroom and a terrace. Hotel is on a bus route, but my room was on the side so was very quiet. Breakfast was a typical Italian sweet buffet and quite enjoyable, with a coffee machine that makes very acceptable coffee. It worked well with only 10 guests in the hotel but there could be problems when the hotel is full. BUT then came dinner. There seems to be a problem with the kitchen. We were given menus to chose from in the morning, and these were very hit and miss. Tuscan meats came as a block of processed cheese, sliced calves turned out to be liver and mixed salad was a plate of lettuce. Choice was limited to two for first and second course. The food was not very good, pasta not bad, but second course and pudding awful. Grilled salmon was served absolutely bone dry and hard, and inedible. Such a shame, I love Italian food and was so disappointed. However, there was a nice little cafe along the road which sold delicious cakes and we could fill up there. If they could rectify the problem with the kitchen this could be a delightful hotel. It was unfortunate that the only lady who understood English worked 9 - 5 whilst we were out, but basic Italian got me through.

terrible one star hotel at the mostthe bad beds, the old iron bed, the bad-smelling refrigerator, change of bed and bath every three days. simple plus breakfast. Service provided by very unpleasant staff. They are not helpful in giving information. The cleaning is done by a single person with a broom and nothing more. The shower does not enter a little fat person and there is no where to store the soap that is on the shower floor.
