  Great spa - de lux room needs upgrade

  Always enjoy the SPA. Stayed at this hotel before but really disappointed in the deteriorating condition of the rooms. The De Luxe room we stayed in really needs a upgrade. Carpet needs replacement and curtain could not close properly and we were awaken by sunrise...Staff were helpful and kind. Restaurant staff needs some more training.

  Jeanette at the Spa

  The staff at Mount Grace make it a great place to stay. They are helpful, professional & enthusiastic. All of them. I spent most of my time at the spa. My therapist Sana was so good, I used her for all my treatments. There was one staff member who blew me away. Jeanette at the reception at the Spa. She helped me with so many other things not spa related using her own initiative. I really think she needs to be recognized for outstanding service. She can come work for me any day!

  Mount Grace family getaway

  This was one of the most restful and luxuriant stays Ive had at a hotel - the service was impeccable - staff are friendly and attentive and the accommodation and amenities outstanding. I cant wait to go back

  Bad service!

  Took my wife there for a romantic Valentine lunch this Sunday on the veranda with that beautiful scenery. After the usual Covid check-up at reception we walked to the restaurant and its veranda. It was quite busy with most tables finishing their lunches (it was 14h00). We stood there for 10 minutes before a waiter (and there were plenty of them and what looked like supervisors running around) actually approached us. Got seated at a table that had not been cleaned up (took 10 minutes). Another 10 minutes passed before I asked for the menus. Finally got 1 menu to share ( Country menu). Another 10 minutes and I had to ask the waitress to take our drink order. My wife wanted a beer or cider, nothing like that on the menu, only food, non alcoholic drinks, cooldrinks and coffees/teas. A manager came and offered her a pre-meal cocktail, I ordered a Tonic water (as I was driving). The drinks arrived, I got a Soda water instead and she got a non drinkable "special" of a coconut milkshake with vodka, I think). A milk based cocktail before a meal!! Anyway, finally got my Tonic water and ordered the hake fillets, these were excellent but had taken over an hour from arriving to start eating. As a matter of interest I noticed that our waitress had a shirt with a big hole at the bottom, she could have been told to tuck it in. Also, the seats were not comfortable at all without cushions and I had to get them at an empty table next to ours. By the end of the meal we moved inside as it started to rain. Ended up on a sofa next to the bar. Took another 20 minutes to get our drinks. Oh yes, I ordered a coffee with cold milk, guess what, it was hot milk and I had to ask for brown sugar. Gorgeous place, horrible service!

  10th Anniversary

  We spent part of our honeymoon here a decade ago. We returned for our milestone one. What a beautiful weekend. Anthony the GM and Morné his deputy , ensure that even through Covid, the resort remains well maintained, well staffed, welcoming and a total escape from our current crazy world. Worth visiting for a night, two or more. Food is well made, honest and tasty. Using room service, give them extra time during peak hours as the complex is widespread. Staff are excellent. You can feel their warmth through the masks. The spa is meticulous and adheres to all Covid legislation but still beautiful and great massages. We will return, and maybe bring our children along as they cater for little people too.
