  friendly place

  Upon arrival we were welcomed by a friendly lady Bixie. Our room were clean. The pool area needs a bit of attention by overall I would give this place a good rating and recommend to fellow travellers. Excellent location

  Quick stop over

  We only stayed over one night at the African Lodge. The receptionist was extremely friendly, she also offered us a free room, due to the room we booked was to small to put all our holiday packages in. Our room was clean, with all basic necessities for a night. Would recommend others to stay over at African Lodge, myself would also return should I be visiting Bloemfontein again.

  Disappointing..... never again

  We were greeted in a very friendly manner.The swimming looked inviting and I thought this will be good. However b as soon I paid for our stay the disappointment started. The rooms looks nothing like it is advertised. The internet is only working in the reception. One positive is that the air conditioning and DSTV works. Breakfast was a dire affair. I will not recommend this establishment to.anybody.

  Huge disappointment

  I have booked 2 rooms 6 months in advanced based on the nice photos publised on their website. However what a huge disappointment upon checkin. The rooms we got is not worth a 4 star quality rating. - The cupboard is tiny. Hardly big enough for one person's clothes if you are planning to stay over for more than 2 days. - The rooms are not soundproof and can easily follow the neighbors conversation - The bathroom is small with a open shower to the room - The curtain is hardly wide enough to cover the sliding door In general, I will not recommend or revisit them again.

  Would not recommend this Place.

  Would not stay at this place. We arrived at the lodge at 9:30 pm, the gate was closed. I called the after hours line and their regular line, could not get anybody to answer the phone. Tried honking banking on at the gate. After an hour hoping to get someone we finally gave up and decided to purchase more minutes for the local SIMM card we had just used up on the calls and call customer service at Agoda. Unfortunately customer service at Agoda drop the call. A few minutes I got a call from a gentleman who told me he was from the lodge. We turned around went back to the hotel only to find out that they did not have room for us at the property, he suggested we follow him to their sister property. The whole time he was on the other phone to his girlfriend while I assume he was trying to find a room for us. I end up paying extra for a third room because they did not have a room with two beds. The place was freezing and no towels at all in the room. Could not shower or take a bath. Customer service is pathetic!
