  Lovely week

  Fabulous stay here. We got to stay in the lovely cottage which we weren't expecting so lots of space. Great breakfast every day. We were well looked after and would definitely stay again. Highly recommended.

  Hilton couldnt beat this.

  We stayed for two nights and were made welcome by Sandra and Sion immediately. The food was excellent as was the beer and whiskey ( both local Welsh). Our hosts couldnt have done any more to make our stay more comfortable. As McArthur said I shall return.

  Fantastic Pub & Accomodation.

  We stayed as a family of 4 plus a dog for 3 nights in their cottage adjoining the pub. It was clean,homely, warm and definitely big enough for us all. Sandra & Sion were the BEST hosts, nothing was too much trouble for them, they were on hand to give us advice, information and a great deal of fun in the pub. Sandra cooked a wonderful breakfast each morning, plenty of choice and local produce. We will be back again very soon, due to family circumstances & absolutely look forward to spending time in their company.

  Absolutely phenomenal.

  Arrived at Afon Duad on the 27th of july, for just a one night stay, and wow, greeted by the friendly lady owner Sandra of which nothing was too much trouble in the slightest. We swiftly checked in and our breakfast order was taken as due to Covid-19 breakfast is delivered to your room, my partner opted for the full english and i just a bacon sandwich. Upon getting into the room it was bright, extremely clean and plenty spacious, the ceiling is low but this is a classic building so is to be expected.. After a short rest after a 5 hour drive we decided to pop downstairs and order drinks at the bar, Sandra again took our drinks order and directed us to the beer garden due to restrictions again due to covid 19. Our drinks came out shortly after we sat down and outside just the 2 owners Sean and Sandra were sat as well as two of their good friends who lived local. We only intended to have one drink and head up to bed, however we got talking to everybody and we were sat out in the beer garden for over 3 hours just chatting, everybody treated you like an old friend and one of the owners' friend got us a drink on him (definitely unexpected when you've just met somebody) the service, behaviour and generosity of everyone spoke volumes for the area and the people running the show at Afon Duad. In the morning we showered up in the brand new renovated room, Sean requested us the night before whilst having a drink that if anything at all be a problem (he'd been having an issue with the tv in the room) that he'd get it sorted immediately, The shower was brand spanking new as was everything else. Breakfast was brought to us at around 8:30, the ingredients for breakfast were clearly locally sourced and of extremely high quality. Check out was quick and easy payment and hand the key back with a warm goodbye and wave. If you're travelling to the nearby area and want somewhere to stay. I'd happily say that you wouldn't beat the quality and vibe of Afon Duad. See you soon guys, we're coming back shortly!

  Warm welcome from lovely B&B hosts with great food and a comfy, clean and homely rooms.

  Sion and Sandra were really welcoming I stayed at Afon Duad b&b and had all the 3 upstairs rooms for my family, beautifully refurbished in a stylish and homely way. Everything you need was at hand and the beds were so comfy after a long drive from Oxfordshire. Sandra cooked us amazing food every day we were three days and couldn't fault anything. We will stay again when in the area as its perfectly situated for a base when you want a relaxing holiday within a drive of many popular spots such as the stunning coast or the museums and historical towns. Sion and Sandra were brilliant with the kids and we have already pre booked another date to visit and stay Afon Duad Inn again. Highly recommended.
