A great experience--will go back in the futureAenokaze shows what a good service really is. The minute we parked our car in their parking lot across the street, several staff members were already rushing across the street to help us carrying the luggage and show us the safe place to cross the street. When we needed help the second day to program our GPS in Japanese, the front desk staff came to our car to program it for us, then directing the traffic to make sure we exited to the right side of the road. Our ocean view room is spacious, especially for Japanese standard, and clean. The onset is big, again with ocean views. The food quality is really high and portion so big that we could not finish it. First day, they presented the best seasonal local seafood--uni, black throat sea perch, sea shrimps, firefly shrimps etc. Second day they served fugu in a variety of ways. There is local Noto beef of course. Again service is top rate. We will go back to visit when having another chance in the future. Outstanding ryokan!

2 nights stay and satisfiedI stayed in Aenokaze last month (March, 2016) with my family. The staff was very friendly and polite. Even this is building type but you can feel traditional Japanese atmosphere here. The view from my window was great calm sea like a like. When arrived in room, we had little bit smell problem there, but staff assistance and service was kind to cleaned up and for that apology they served some extra food on dinner. That's call Japanese OMOTENASI.

SpecialThis is a very special hotel. I don't usually stay in a big onsen hotel, but this is a good one. First of all, they have an English speaking staff waiting to serve us when we arrived. The even called us from Japan to find out if we are coming with another group so they An arrange a nearby room for us. Also the dining room is a big hall with a performing stage that will have a traditional Japanese drum show during dinner. Food is good and location is good and easy to find. Room is big for a family of 4.

A Wakuraonsen Hotel with resourceful facilities and well trained staffWe chose to stay in this hotel on 15 & 16 April which was under Kagaya Group in the Wakura Onsen, a peaceful & relaxing place with 4 hours travelling from Osaka. The hotel was giant with 10-storey at the seashore with plenty of facilities and entertainment for families and couples. You could choose to spend a day there chatting with friends enjoying the seaview with drinks and snacks offered free at the lounge for, or went fishing, playing table tennis, badminton, etc. In addition to spacious onsen for men and women with indoor and open air bath respectively, you can opt for taking 3-minute shuttle bus or 7 minutes walk to Kagaya which was even bigger with few floor onsen and a souvenir street. At night we enjoyed Kaiseki while watching the historical drama show and Japanese traditional drum performance by masked performers. Overall all the staff there were attentive and in well manner, dedicating to serve well for each customer, which I guess the essence of Kagaya service on their pride to be the best and named hotel in Japan.

Peaceful, beautiful, and welcomingAenokaze provided a relaxing stay with exceptional service and outstanding meals. Wakura-Onsen is a wonderful town, the views from the hotel lounge and our room were spectacular, and it was a peaceful retreat after visiting busy Tokyo, Kyoto, and Nagoya. Although we do not speak Japanese, Aenokaze had a couple of English speakers on staff that helped us with any questions. We spent two nights and enjoyed different dinners each night (although it is the same dinner show every night), and made good use of the hotel's amenities (table tennis, badminton, swimming pool, karaoke, game room, and of course the baths). Aenokaze provides a shuttle to and from the train station, so traveling is easy. It is also easy to catch a bus to visit the Noto peninsula (Aquarium, glass museum, beach). Aside from the baths and swimming pool, the entertainment options at the hotel are extra, so keep that in mind when budgeting!
