Avarage and cleanI stayed one night in the hotel. Arrived with a very crowded metro, I could find the hotel easily with a navigation application. The lobby is confusing, because it shares it with another hotel, "Tourist". The rooms are clean with AC and supposed to be free Wi-Fi, but in my room (625) It was impossible to receive it. I was too tired to check it with the reception. There was a free bottle of water, a small TV, minibar but I had no time to use them. You have to add city tax to the price of the room (I was in a single room, 42 hryvnia (spelling Grivnia) = less then 2$.

Clean and ConvenientStayed here on business. Our office is located a couple of minutes away by foot so it's quite convenient. If you are visiting central Kiev, the metro station is located literally beside the hotel and is a 10 to 15 minute ride (depending on where you go). It's quite ok considering metro costs 8 hryvnia 0.30 euros one way and you get to stop in one of the deepest metro stations (arsenalna) if you go to the center. The hotel itself is quite simple, but it's clean and comfortable. It is located in the Turyst hotel complex so could be confusing for some. The reception of the 2 hotels are both on the ground floor. There's a bar/cafe located in the hotel (seems like it's 24 hours). Water dispenser is availsble in every floor. There's a lot of restaurants within 2 minute walk radius (even a Mc Donalds) and a small mall beside (even a 24 hour pharmacy right beside in case you need it). The room also has a tv (but only Ukrainian channels) and a fridge. My only real complaint here is that their breakfast is really horrible. Maybe it's a difference of taste but the only thing I eat in breakfast are the cereals and the coffee. But anyway it's not a problem as just across the street is Puzata Hata where you can get better breakfast for cheap.

Adria hotel / tourist hotelAdria hotel is on 3 floors within the tourist hotel . The rooms are basic but they are clean and comfortable . The onsuite was a good size , my only complaint is that the white shower curtains could do with replacing as they were brown round the bottom. A glass door would be better as the bathroom became flooded every time the shower was used. Breakfast was a little strange as we wouldnt usually go for chicken breast and rice . But it was filling and set you up for the day. Very pleasant English speaking staff , the hotel is situated approximately 1 minute walk from the metro . Which was roughly 26 pence to use . The pictures show various breakfast combinations and hotel.

It's OkThis hotel was part of a package deal that i didn't have a say in. just as well really as I wouldn't look at booking this hotel when I return to kiev next year. as a place to put your head, yeah it's fine and ticks that box. As an experience it wasn't a great one. i checked in which was delayed as the room wasn't ready (two hour wait) despite it being nearly midday. Once in the room on the 6th floor, it was basic and that was being generous. a bed that resembled a fold down sofa bed style. a tv that wouldn't tune past snow storm view, a bathroom that flooded when you took a shower(the shower curtain can't do it's job) the general feel of the room was very 80's. the view out the window wasn't spectacular but was still and interesting one and i was reasonably happy with it. despite the first impression of the bed it turned out to be a comfortable nights sleep. minus points for me were a reception team from day shift to night shift all seemed to have attitude, when i asked for a cup of tea after a long day touring, getting back at midnight, point blank refusal, sorry but that will never sit well with me when you don't provide those facilities in your rooms. thankfully an outside vendor jumped to the rescue even if it cost me a little more. To Travel centre Uk who I booked through, please don't give a breakfast voucher to your customers as part of their stay when the activities that i booked with you meant that I didn't get to use the breakfast voucher on any of the days I was at the hotel. good points and there is only one of them lol while in my room after check in there was a knock at the door Champagne and chocolates for the birthday boy!! I was very impressed with this as I didn't say anything, they noticed after looking at my passport. the only plus point that I can find. as I said at the beginning of this review if you want somewhere to lay your head for the night and your not bothered by standards, then it's fine, anything more than that and I'm afraid that this wouldn't be for you. I made some new friends on this trip and they stayed a 2 different hotels in the city "The Presidents Hotel" any hotel with a grand piano in the reception area and it's own shopping mall has to be a great hotel and according to my new friends not all that expensive. "The Sunflower" this is a backstreet of the main drag in Independence Square hotel B&B and on first impressions and looking at the rooms and general attitude of the staff, an amazing place to stay within a budget. might be looking at either of these 2 next time.

Excellent Location in KievAlthough this was in an excellent location, the rooms were very dated, beds were uncomfortable and it was quite cold so we had to have the heating on all night. Having said that we had a fab time in Kiev and this in no way ruined anything. I'm sure there were more upmarket rooms in this hotel, just never bothered to ask for a better room. Would I stay here again? yes deffo.
