  Son unos ladrones

  HABIA RESERVADO DEL 10 AL 13 DE AGOSTO, PERO SOLO NOS QUEDAMOS UNA NOCHE, LA DEL 10, PORQUE EL AIRE ACONDICIONADO QUE DICEN QUE TIENEN, ES UNA UTOPIA... Hasta ahí, vaya, porque al reservarlo por Internet tampco sabes lo que te vas a encontrar... Pero lo peor de todo es que cuando nos fuimos nos dijeron que nos devolverían el dinero, y ahora una vez en España dicen que no se acuerdan de nosotros ni de que nos fuéramos el primer día, y logicamente nos hemos quedado sin el dinero!!!!

  Fine for what I needed

  Moved to this hotel as I had an early morning flight out of Split airport--it only took 20 minutes to get from the hotel to my gate! The room was fine, although the air conditioner was really struggling and it never got very cool. The hotel is close to a bus stop, so after dropping off my bags, I headed to Trogir with a friend. Then when we came back, we walked to the Kastelas. That was really lovely being next to the water--so quiet compared to Split. We stopped off at a bistro along the water for a beer and a plate of prsut and cheese before walking back to the hotel.

  Mainly positive

  Hotel: Excellent reception and waiting staff, good food, reasonably priced beer, comfortable bed, large balcony, and good wifi, complimentary transport to the airport Aircon and bathroom extractor were on the noisy side, and the shower temperature went from cool to scalding, although my partner did not experience such extremes. No tea/coffee making facilities in the room. No lift. N.B. it is walking distance to/from the airport but it's a main road and there are no pavements, so walking with cases isn't an option. We took a cab from the airport and were ripped off big time with a fixed price: take one on the meter if you need to get to the hotel from the airport. Local Area: We took a walk and found one shop, which was locked up during published opening hours, and looked almost abandoned. There is an abundance of litter on the streets, beaches and in the water, which is in marked contrast to Split, Jelsa, and Hvar. The service at the bar on the beach was so poor that we gave up.

  Great for a one night stay

  Hotel Adria is a small hotel and we found the staff at reception and in the restaurant to be nice and very friendly. Our room was good, the bed comfortable however, there were no tea/coffee making facilities or a lift. But the hotel was very quiet. We ate in the restaurant and the service was great. We decided to stay in this hotel as we had an early morning flight the next morning and this hotel offered complimentary transfer to the airport which was fantastic. The only downside about staying at this hotel is that it is quite difficult to get to. We had been told to catch the airport shuttle from Split and just ask the bus driver to drop us off at the hotel. He refused, was very rude and didn't stop, so we took the shuttle to the airport. After deciding that a taxi fare from the airport to the Hotel Adria was a rip-off, we rang the Hotel Adria from the airport and as they did not offer an airport pick-up (only an airport drop-off) they advised us to catch the local bus which we did. The bus stop was a little distance from the hotel which is located on the main road from Split to the Airport! We had to walk on the side of this road (there are no pavements) dragging our cases with cars whizzing past us for about 200 metres. It was a very nerve-wracking experience. We told the reception staff at the Hotel Adria what happened and they said it was unusual and that the Airport Shuttle Bus Drivers "usually" drop off guests. This was not what the bus driver indicated to us. But other than that it was a pleasant stay.

  Close to the airport

  The hotel is about as close to the airport as you can get and is perfect if you have an early morning flight. You literally turn out of the hotel and are at the airport in about 3 minutes. There arent many restaurants nearby, the closest is about 20 minutes walk and the little area with a few options was about 2km away. The air conditioning didnt work well which meant the room was very warm all night. There was a pretty large balcony and a small tv in the room. Tea and coffee were there but the kettle was too dirty to use, it actually smelled rather rough. Parking is available at the property and I believe they also offer airport drop-off service. I would not stay here if you dont need to be near the airport, however for an early morning flight it is a great option.
