  Disappointed

  At point of check in I should have guessed ... The reception was dirty, cluttered and STUNK of cigarettes as if one had just been lit in the room!!! The lady was friendly . Our room (number4) was on ground level. Couches x2 both dirty and worn, cushions old and dated. Floor rug was filthy and in desperate need of cleaning. Dining table was sticky and had coffee cup rings on it. Kitchen was tidy and modern. NO AIR CON. We were supplied with 2 pedestal fans one was in a disgusting state!!! Bathroom in need of a good scrub floor to ceiling and all windows in apartment needed cleaning. Window ledges filthy, dusty and very unkept. Blinds throughout were in working order but needed replacing or a thorough clean. Towels thin and old. Bedding very dated , sheets and pillows need updating. Bed VERY uncomfortable , so much so my husband slept in a single bed in room 2. The overall smell and appearance shows lack of interest from cleaning/ managing staff!!! We were originally booked in to stay 5 nights ( we were given a travel auction voucher from a family member who I can say IS VERY disappointed with the purchase!!)we booked in elsewhere for the 4 nights. I purchased my own kitchen bench spray and air freshener to try and improve smell! The apartment block is pet friendly, 10pm we were trying to shoosh the dog next door as our children were asleep and its owners had gone out for the evening. Swimming pool EXCEPTIONAL!!! Salt water, spotless and VERY inviting!! If only the entire complex was as nice! Close proximity to cafes/takeaway , beaches ,jetties & playgrounds. Location is excellent!! Overall the place is in need of a very good clean, a bit more pride and attention would definitely improve the place. We will not be staying here again. Such a shame :-(

  Happy Quite Friendly

  I stayed three nights easy booking direct with the owners Comfortable bed great set up apartment all we needed to cook and bbq nice hot shower clean and tidy Owners are helpful good at there job will stay again Close to the beach and lake Thankyou for our stay

  Weekend away

  Bought this accommodation on an auction site well worth the money nice quiet location cafe close by,rooms are a little dated but you can see they are being modernised ,manager Lynda is a very nice host,even had a jug of real milk in the fridge not long life,overall would recommend a stay here

  4 day holiday

  We had an awesome 3 night stay at Admirals lodge 2 adults & 3 kids, every thing we needed was there & premises very clean & tidy. Great place for the kids to play & plenty of concrete for their scooters. Very affordable & close to everything. the kids loved feeding the local lorikeets. We would highly recommend Admirals Lodge to any families looking for a high quality affordable holiday stay. Cheers Rob & Renie

  Ahh Merimbula

  I spent 5 nights at The Admiral's Lodge in Merimbula ~ what a great place to stay!! The owners are very welcoming and straight away you feel at home. The apartments are clean and well appointed ~ I had an upstairs apartment and the view was great! EASY walking distance to everything ~ the beach, the lake, over the bridge to the town centre, the boardwalk etc ... it's all right there! I know that I'll definitely be going back to stay, and I would highly recommend this place if you're planning a trip to beautiful Merimbula
