  Lovely meal

  We had a lovely dinner, the food was excellent. There was a beautiful selection of local wines. Staff were very lovely and friendly..l Venue was easily accessible from accommodation in the town centre..

  Great stay with wonderful staff.

  Great stay! I am baffled by people's reviews and their expectations when selecting a motel. I found the Comfort Inn exactly as a motel should be. It's clean, easily accessible, and provides a bed, shower and coffee making facilities. The best addition/ suprise here is the restaurant, which is magnificent and reasonably priced. The receptionist recommended a great wine tour operator, gave us fresh milk for our coffee and was generally super friendly. We arrived 2 hours early and did not expect our room to be ready, but we're pleasantly surprised when it was. I recommend the comfort inn, if you're looking for a short stay, in a clean and comfy room, without pretentious 5 Star expectations. Thank you for our wonderful 2 night stay and for offering a discount to frontline staff.

  Staff nice but needs a lot of TLC

  The room we stayed in was a renovated one I believe but it was super grubby , marks on wall, thick dust behind bed, the base of the bed was smaller than the mattress so when you sat on the edge you feel off, air con rattled all night , no offer of the free continental breakfast when booked direct as per their website, staff were nice and friendly, woke up the tradesmen on the roof , swearing and noisy . I didn't expect much for $150 a night but I do expect it to be clean . We were told they were renovating when we arrived and would have liked to have known that before we checked in. Dissapointed and couldn't wait to get out of there. $150 I will never see again

  AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

  I have travelled all around Australia as well as internationally and never have I ever come across a place as appalling as Comfort Inn Aden Mudgee. We have stayed at this establishment before and it was not perfect, but we thought we would give it another try and oh boy, what a mistake. We encountered some extremely negative points during our 3 night stay. I do not usually write reviews but this feels necessary to warn other travellers. I will start with the (limited) positives first. -The young girl at reception on our departure was lovely, although she seemed a little disinterested in how our stay was. She was nice enough and if she was working the entire time, we would have probably returned. Nice girl. -The housekeeping staff were attentive and friendly. -Breakfast and dinner were great, but that really has nothing to do with the motel. Compliments to the chef. Now, the negatives. -The manager is probably the rudest person my husband and I have ever met in our lives. He did not seem to care for our needs (although we werent asking for much!) and he was a stone cold, icy person. When we came across him a couple of times, we heard him talking badly about staff members to OTHER staff members. Not just constructive criticism, but just plain bagging them out. I would quit immediately if I knew my boss was speaking about me like that. The young waitress was agreeing with him and even swore a couple of times, which I found extremely unprofessional. -The room was dusty, the bed was made with no care or effort put into it and the pillows were rock hard. The room was newly renovated mind you, but not worth the money in my opinion. -We heard the tradesmen that were working on the roof swearing, laughing and acting like children. They were really making the place look bad. They were obviously smoking while they were working because its all we could smell. -We arrived at 1pm in hopes for an early check in, and although the receptionist granted it to us, it seemed like an extremely big deal and she was very unpleasant to deal with. Im sorry for being so negative but I feel it is necessary to warn others. I dont know what has happened in the past year since we visited last, but it is not working for Comfort Inn Aden Mudgee. We will not be returning. Ever.

  Filthy, Smelly and Hazardous

  We stayed for one night, unfortunately, on which my wife and I were supposed to be celebrating a wedding anniversary. We chose this motel because it seemed to have reasonable reviews from previous visitors, but mainly because the on-site restaurant, Palate, was ranked number 3 in Mudgee on Tripadvisor (see separate reviews). Quite basic but inviting menu posted on motel website. So, expectation of good food and celebration drinks without having to drive. Confusion at reception because the manager said, at first, that he had tried to contact me by mobile phone to confirm that we were coming 30 minutes after our estimated arrival time (my mobile phone was with luggage in the boot - not a big user). He then proceeded to say that he could not find any record of our booking. So why then was he ringing to confirm our arrival? I had previously contacted the motel in response to their booking confirmation email message to advise that the number of guests and room type staed were not what had been requested. After finally getting a key to the requested room type, much disappointment soon followed. 1 The carpet was not only stained, but also appeared to have much ground in dirt. 2. There was a horrible smell near the bathroom. 3. There was multiple dirty hand marks over the inside of the front door (so much for Covid protection precautions). 4. The toilet seat was not properly fixed to the bowl - consequently able to slip away to a very dangerously unstable angle.. 5.The shower recess was furnished with foreign strands of hair and slime in joins, some of which could be simply wiped away with tissue paper. 6. No connection to Netflix available. 7. The bathroom contained an abundant number and variety of bugs on the morning of departure. Thisv motel is best avoided in other than an emergency.
