Centrally located and good customer serviceAt first, it is difficult to find this hotel at night as there is no large sign. The entrance is through a cafe so when you look inside it looks like a restaraunt rather than a hotel. Customer service was great, as clerk is friendly and helpful. For some reason, our room didn't look as modern as the ones in the photos but it was cozy. Lots of space and a little kitchenette which was appreciated. Room was clean, bathroom was a bit small as shower was close to toilet. You would basically wet the toilet with the spray every time you shower. Great location, right in downtown as name suggests and steps away from the H church and cafe Loki. Was satisfied with our stay.

Friendly customer service, great locationVery centrally located with friendly and welcoming customer service. Housekeeping standards were generally good; fast WiFi; price was reasonable; room was basic but adequate. The only real point of contention for me was my shower room, which was in need of urgent refurbishment and smelled horrendous whenever the guest in the room next door used the lavatory (due to shared ventilation I assume). No complaints otherwise - the place is a good choice if youre planning a short stay, dont want to spend a kings ransom, and need to be in 101. Be aware that theres no elevator and some rooms are on the third floor.

Great locationHotel is basic but clean. Less than a 10 minute walk from the bus station. Amazing location for bars and restaurants. Iceland itself is very expensive and a trip to the blue lagoon and Gilfoss waterfalls is must.

By far the best value for money i had in ReykjavicTravelling to Reykjavik, you have tons of accomodation options. Many of them are really pricy, even the private guesthouses. I was looking for something in central location in walking distance from BSI. To make sure: the accomodations around Hallgrímskirkja-church are all on top of a "hill" (kind of), if you walk up from BSI, just to let you know. I walked about 10-15 minutes with all my luggage (backpack), so not a big issue. The hotel is about 1 minute walking-distance from the church. Check-In is done in the ground-floor located in the vietnamese restaurant, also run by the manager. He is a very helpful and friendly person, check in was done fast. The rooms (i had 2 nights a double-room) surprised me: large, comfy and very well equipped: microwave, water-kattle, plates, cutleries etc. Even a heated dryer to hang wet clothes in the (also large) bathroom. And, opposite to many other options, a private ensuite-bathroom with privacy. Even the hot water in the shower could be adjusted / customized to preferred temperature :). There are many restaurants and bars around in short distances (of course incl. the Vietnames on the groundfloor), and a supermarket just a few steps away. Also the famous Laugavegur shopping street is only 5 minutes away. I enjoyd the stay very much because i got by far more than i expected. From my side i can highly recommend this place in terms of value for money.
