  In Abha it deserves 4 stars

  If you compare it to any good hotel it is not that much Only the beds are clean the staff is decent but it's an old building No facilities But if you compare it to other Abha hotels it will be like the four seasons If you are traveling to abha it's maybe your best choice by far

  Could be a great hotel for locals, but Europeans don't seem welcome

  I'm a frequent visitor to the Middle East and to Saudi Arabia. I understand completely that most hotels in Saudi Arabia - particularly in the provinces - cater very largely for locals. I don't expect hotel staff in another country to speak English just because I don't have fluency in their language. However, I do expect to be welcomed and for hotel staff to be polite - this was not my experience during my 8 night stay at the Assalam Palace. 'Hello' and 'Goodbye' on entering and leaving each day were ignored completely by staff on reception. Requests - such as booking a car - were treated with irritation and being told (not asked) to wait while they found one of the overseas staff (porters or cleaners) to deal with my request. These very junior staff are generally much more efficient, friendly and polite than their managers. Apart from this disappointing attitude, the hotel was generally OK - except for the WIFI which was frustratingly inconsistent and very frequently interrupted. The hotel website does have an English option, but is poorly maintained and can't be used to make a booking from abroad. Take a look at their 'Gustbook' section and it's full of spam.

  Very good Value in Abha

  This is a centrally located hotel with exciting surrounding views. The rotating restaurant on the 10th floor gives patrons a terrific view of the hills and mountains arounf Abha, which is at an altitude of 2000m. Quite the opposite of the the landscape you will find in most of the rest of the kingdom.

  Big Room & Nice Location

  The hotel consider very good choice in Abha by location near from alshefa park and walking area also so closed to old Souq The staff was nice starting from reception and bill boy also the room was so big and connected to other room with big bathroom while we stay at fourth floor with 2 room The breakfast was nice but not optimist at 10th floor in revolving resturant included with rooms but lunch and dinner was so good and coast 140 SR per person except Saturday night 160 SR sea food night The laundry service was nice and fast and cleaning the room was daily Food and drink service at the room was nice Parking area was so crowded but they have closed parking for hotel customer No Swimming pool and at 9th floor there is a cafe shop with snacks At 4th floor they have nice praying area and fitness area

  Amazing Suite For Family

  This time we tried to stay in big suite having king sized bed with extra bed ,2 bathroom,kitchenette with living room and table for 6 person So big and clean at 6th floor The staff were excellent start with warm welcoming from front desk then cake and fruits basket from AHMAD Mahmood which really make me day
