  Dreadful, dont risk it!

  Wow, where to start this place was dreadful firstly room wasnt ready so I was an upgrade the family room smelly, light switch was broken, toilet ran consistently all fittings and fixture were old and or broken. Would never stay here again or reccommend. Very disappointing did not expect a 5 star hotel but did expect it to be clean and tidy.

  Did The Job

  We needed somewhere to stay that was not too expensive and close to St Patricks Church In Sutherland. This place ticked the boxes on Booking.com. The place has been there a long time but they appear to be sprucing it up. The staff when we were there was helpful and nice. The room was comfortable and seriously we were only there to sleep. A short walk away is the Golf Club where you can have some drinks and dinner in walking distance. Did the job for us.

  It's a motel so don't expect too much

  This was my choice due to its proximity to an event I was attending. It is a quiet and tidy place with basic facilities. The room was clean however it's showing its age particularly in the wet areas. Everything worked fine. The staff I dealt with were first rate: friendly, efficient and well spoken. I'd have no problems staying their again. I could only rate it average due to the tired rooms, however I'd rate the staff as excellent.

  Okay

  Simple setting with room space. 2 large beds that were tidy and comfortable. Maybe needed a bit more cleaning of the shower and toilet plus a clean out of the aircons. Otherwise okay. Located on Princes Highway near a Caltex service station, the convenience of this was the 24hr service in case you need a snack. 6 minutes to Miranda Westfield shopping centre and 4 minutes to the Kareela Golf club. Abcot Inn is located south of the metropolitan and takes about 40 to 45 minutes to reach by taxi. The fare was approximately $50 from the Sydney domestic terminal.

  VERY DISAPPOINTED AFTER SECOND CHANCE

  I stayed at Abcot Inn & found the room had a musty smell, the carpet across the doorway was raggered & frayed, the toilet seat plastic coating was coming off, the exhaust fan was dirty & extremely noisy & around the top of the tiles there was layers of dust, plus one of the towels was ripped & fraying, & one of the globes in the bedside light was broken. I sent an email to them & it was over a week before they replied. They were very apologetic, offering me a discount & an upgrade to an executive room. I took up this offer. Well, the executive room had a spa bath with the shower over it. I was only in the room approximately 5 minutes when a female staff member knocked on the door asking if I was ok with the room having the shower over the bath. I said I would manage but would prefer a separate shower. She immediately offered me another room with a separate shower, further down on the property, I told her that would be better. She said she would meet me down there & left - I had to then pack my bags back into my car & drive down there. As I pulled up she came out of another room to the one she told me about, saying this one is better. I unpacked my bags & settled in. I was very disappointed with this room also. The air conditioning needed a good clean, it was full of dust & positioned directly over the head of the bed. The shower floor was wet & had an empty complimentry shampoo container on it, there were hairs on the shower floor & wall tiles, & the tiled soap holder was broken, plus the underside of the toilet seat needed a good clean. The TV remote didn't work (batteries had to be replaced) & the a/c remote would not turn off. The next morning I left my key & vowed never stay there again. They were given a second chance, they hand picked a room for me & it was definitely not good.
