Fantastic Wedding VenueWe had our wedding last weekend at The Abbots Fireside and we couldnt have been happier with our choice of venue. Helen, Eric and their team were fantastic in both the lead-up and on the day; they helped to create the atmosphere of warmth and relaxation that made our wedding so perfect. Even if youre not booking a wedding, The Abbots Fireside is a great place to stay or have a meal. The rooms ooze character with the historic beams and the food is always fantastic and reasonably priced. The bar & restaurant are beautiful, with the incredible fireplace and kentish hops draped around. I wouldnt hesitate to recommend this as a wedding venue, particularly for a couple that want an affordable wedding with everything under 1 roof. Legal ceremony, in-house catering, well-stocked bar & 6 rooms of accommodation, The Abbots Fireside really has it all and of such great quality. Were looking forward to coming back on our first anniversary (or quite probably before then) for another great meal.

take along ear plugslovely hotel, good breakfast, Bags of charm and character Great Hosts, Quirky bed rooms. Bed Not very comfortable and really thin pillows. As next doors TV is on the wall above your bed, you can hear every thing. My next door neighbors put on the TV at 6am. so was awake , Not very rest full

Welcoming LunchOver the years we have been to the Abbots Fireside and had mixed experiences. Friends had told us that it was worth a visit again. We were not disappointed. My booking had been taken a day earlier by Ellie and indeed she had given us a lovely table with my name labelled with wooden Scrabble tiles...a nice touch. We chose the garlic prawns and the rump steak. All delicious, the prawns were warm rather than hot and the serving plates could have done with being warmed but that is just our preference. The service was excellent and we didnt want to leave so one chocolate fudge cake was ordered. Well done all especially Ellie who was most pleasant and professional. The dining room was warm and welcoming and the basket chairs a great improvement. We will return and recommend to others.

A True Piece of English HistoryWe were visiting family for an after Christmas get together & found this delightful Inn on TripAdvisor! This is a truly English piece of History that has just the right decor we loved it. Unfortunately we couldn't have the Sunday Roast as eating with relatives but it looked fabulous. Breakfast was delicious though!

Great foodStayed 1 night bed and breakfast. Dinner was delicious, well cooked and good service. Breakfast good too. Strong coffee and good quality sausage, bacon, black pudding. Enjoyed our stay, thank you. Rooms a little dated but comfortable bed.
