  Accommodation for the severely disabled.

  If you are wheelchair bound and have limited ability you will know how hard it is to find suitable accommodation. The Abbey Guest House offers a room with a range of aids, hoist, toilet chair, a bed with an adjustable back and Terry the owner is more than willing to do all she can to facilitate your needs. The accessible room is on the small side with two single beds and not a great deal of space for wheelchair user and carer but it meets the needs of most people even with very limited function. Shower room is accessible, toilet/shower chair was provided. The house is spotless, the breakfast, outstanding and you would find it hard to get a better and more accommodating, understanding host. When booking, be clear about your requirements and Terry will pull out all the stops to meet your needs. We have not found anywhere that that is up to the standard that the Abbey Guest House offers. My partner is a MS sufferer with very limited ability and we would go there again tomorrow

  Exceptional B&B

  Around the corner from our friends in Abbingdon - The B&B had an extremely well appointed and clean room and superior facilities. Friendly, helpful staff and we rather regret not having breakfast as it smelled so good !

  Great base for a family group attending a wedding in Abingdon

  We booked out all the rooms for 2 nights. They were all excellent and offered a variety of options for different family groups. All the rooms were spotless, the beds were comfortable and the showers were working well with large soft towels. The lovely owner made us feel very welcome. Many of our party had dietary restrictions and we were all catered for superbly. There was car parking for all our cars and we were able to charge an electric car overnight. Highly recommended.

  Excellent B&B

  Great amenities, especially if you need an accessible bathroom. Clean and tidy. Great breakfast. Terry was very helpful in organising transport additional to the excellent public transport at the front door. Great value for money. Would definitely recommend the Abbey Guest House.

  AMAZING..

  Absolutely fantastic place, so welcoming, clean and perfect location. Paula and Rob are the perfect hosts nothing was too much trouble for them. Upon arrival Rob phoned to tell me that if we had a problem parking in the car park to call him and he would sort a space out for us. So we found him guarding a place for us with two cones.... !! We were greeted by Paula, Rob took our bags up to our room and left us to it..Oh my goodness what a beautiful room and an even better view, the room was clean with heated towels, a very comfy bed and plenty of tea, coffee and biscuits... Yum Yum... A great night sleep was had by us both a very powerful shower and a wonderful breakfast absolutely spot on. The hostess with the mostest ( Paula) could not do enough for us, Plenty of tea and toast and a full English... Wow it was yummy... Off we went to explore the city came back to rest our feet and have a brew, and on the side was some delicious flap jack.. PERFECT This B & B was the icing on the cake and made our stay in York even more memorable, we have booked for a couple of months time... If anyone was to find fault with this little gem WELL they need their head testing!!!
