Awesome stay! Fantastic Price!I was looking for somewhere cheap to stay for a last minute trip to the snow and did a search for budget accommodation in Jindabyne considering anything in Thredbo (where I was snowboarding) was outrageously expensive and my search came across this little gem in a quiet cul de sac in Jindy. The price for 3 nights including breakfast every day was jyst under $600!!! I thought for that price I would be in a run down shoebox of a room but I was pleasantly surprised with my room. It had a very comfy queen sized bed and its own spacious bathroom. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was AMAZING! With the hotel running under strict Covid-19 regulations breakfast was very well organised and the 30 minutes allocated to sitting time was perfect. They were very strict with their food handling and were so strict that they were putting tomato sauce ect on our plates so we didnt have to touch anything. Their drying room for snow equipment is great and conveniently situated just outside the entrance. They are literally 3 minutes drive to Nuggets Crossing and the Old Town Centre so if you are after food or supplies its not too far that take away food is still hot and fresh by the time you get back to your room. There is ample parking so I didnt need to search for a spot anytime I returned from going out. All in all it was fantastic place to stay and I will definitely stay there again in the future. I highly recommend it yo single or even couples travelling to the snow for a getaway. For me I give it 5 stars!!

Perfect base to access the slopesWe had three nights at Aarberg Chalet and we couldn't fault anything with our stay. Lindsay and Ulla were great hosts and you'll be hard pressed to find a better place to stay for the money. It's a family business and the couple that run it are warm, friendly and have good chat. The hotel itself is spotless and nice communal areas to hang out in. The shower always had plenty of hot water for after a day on the ski fields, great heating in the rooms and the drying room was handy for drying all your gear for the next day. One of the biggest highlights was the breakfast. I was excepting basic continental but it came with bacon, eggs, sausages, hash browns, baked beans and pancakes. Good coffee too. Location wise isn't too bad. 10 - 15 min walk to all the restaurants of Jindy and Jindabyne Brewery (best meal we had). There is a bar at the hotel for pre dinner drinks with the owners too. We normally stay closer to the ski fields but this year we found it hard to justify paying double compared to staying in town. We were pleasantly surprised by how many great restaurants, bars and breweries Jindy has to offer and being within walking distance from it all was excellent. It's worth the half hour drive up the mountains in the morning to have access to all this. We will be staying at Aarberg Chalet from now on.

One night valueStayed for one night on the way to Perisher. We received a warm welcome and the kids got special attention which was nice. We had a double and a bunk bed room which was clean and perfect for our stay. The COVID rules were followed to the letter which can create complications with timing the guests for breakfast. No longer can the lodges do the buffet service instead they are required to serve you which means breakfasts need to be staggered. Visitors need to make sure they are aware of this and confirm their breakfast time in advance. With a bit of communication it all works well.

Great friendly serviceThe Aalbrg is a very friendly place with a good vibe. They are taking COVID precautions at reception and breakfast which was great Our room was big, with a modern bathroom and the big shower was great after snowboarding all day. It also had a bar fridge and microwave, and the heating was excellent. The room wasn't serviced during the day but that was a good thing for covid. My double bed was two singles together as you often find, but unfortunately one side was super firm and the other really soft with a ridge in the middle so I really struggled to sleep. The breakfast was served with only a few people at a time which was great for social distancing. I didn't try the pre-cooked options (bacon, eggs, baked beans, pancakes, hash browns) from their buffet. The toast and coffee that I did have were both not great. We chose not to go back for brekky on day 2. All of the staff we came across were very friendly and welcoming.

Great place, easy location and really good friendly serviceThe owners service and attitude was excellent and helpful (even though the breakfast service was restricted because of Covid). The location in Jindabyne was good - the external amenities you needed to drive to, but given it was a snow weekend it was not an issue, as I had a car. The only extra I would have liked would have been a bath - hot bath after a long day skiing would have been a nice extra
