  The plaice was delicious

  The fried filet of plaice with rye bread and lettuce tasted delicious. This was a nice surprise because it seems that most restaurants, even the best ones, usually offer deep fried, unhealthy, filets of plaice. This restaurant luckily did not. The service was OK, even when most tables outside were occupied by guests. Look for more reviews by MulleEllum.

  Pretty expensive, excellent accommodation, restaurant and service

  Danish 'kro' is a phenomenon whis includes good eating, a certain level of alcohol consumption and oodles of 'hygge' ! We arrived far earlier than expected - biking 25 kilometers on the flat Danish Bicycle with a slight tailwind does not take long - but we were offered an early check-in at the Kro and given room 214, a superior one at the first floor facing west with ample day-time and evening sun. One small negative thing in all the rooms we had during our 10 day stay in Denmark: all bathrooms lacked floorheating, and had showercurtains (not a bathtubshower) and the bathrooms became damp and the floors wet. We had a packagedeal, dinner (no drinks) were included, in addition to Breakfast and the fare was excellent - the dinners (two-course) was very stylish and plentiful, wine at our own expense, reasonable and the service excellent - we had our own table the four dinners we had, white linen tablecloths and napkins, a small diningroom for 'long term guests'. We spent our days biking in the neighborhood, strolling for miles along the beach and dipping in the ocean, all the time blessed by fantastic September weather. A wonderful experience and a place were you easily get homesick !

  Not possible to sleep at night

  We stayed the weekend from Friday to Sunday together with my 80 year old parents in law. Nice place and good restaurant where we had 2 nice dinners. We had the rooms 102 and 103 fronting the reception and entrance to the restaurant. What we did not know is that the breakfast room also is used for parties and celebrations. This we realised at 2300 hours Saturday evening when we complained to the reception about loud music and party activities turned out to be a wedding party. This took place more or less just outside our windows. Worst of all, we were told that the party would go on to 2 oclock in the morning. We complained once more when checking out the next morning. The receptionist was glad we told her, but there was nothing to do about it! I find it totally unacceptable to give us such rooms knowing that a wedding party was to be arranged next door. Apparently there would have been other rooms available!

  Excellent lunch

  We had plaice fillets with home made rye bread, tartar sauce and mountain cranberries for lunch. The meal was excellent. The service was quite all right as well. We will certainly be back. Look for more reviews by MulleEllum.

  Simple, but satisfying

  Our room for one night was quite simple, but satisfying and very clean. Everything we needed for two persons was available. The breakfast next morning was quite good as well. Look for more reviews by MulleEllum.
