  A great disappointment!

  Based on the reviews and also photos from the website, I was expecting a lovely 2 day stay in the country however what awaited us was a very different story. Our family group of 10 stayed in Rose Cottage. The place looked "tired" and in urgent need of renovation. A lot of dust in the bedrooms and dubious looking quilts on the beds (very uncomfortable beds too), sticky kitchen floor. We did not have hot water on the first night (we did get a small discount after we complaint the next day). A rustic, country style should not mean a dirty place! It is such a shame as the view was beautiful but we won't be back.

  Song

  A country farmstay style resort and this is what we expected. We stayed in the 2 beds and 2 storey house for 1 night. The views through the window and surroundings are so beautiful. A real tree house is a bonus to the kids. Only a short drive to Cradle mountain made us plan our trip easily. Cattles, horses and wallabies brought more funs to our kids. We enjoyed our stay.

  Good size cabins but place has lost its glory

  Although the cabins are good size, clean and well equiped, we were all a bit disappointed with our stay. Main reason is that the entire place gives the impression that the owners have stopped caring about it 5-10 years ago. Maintenance of common grounds is poor, with many broken objects and poorly maintained gardens. Staff makes no effort to provide advise or service. A real pity as with some small investments and extra service this place really has potential (as it probably had in the past).

  Disappointed and property was scary

  The property is quite run down. It's a 1 hr drive to cradle mountain and a very windy drive as well. I was honestly scard as I was travelling with my 4 yr old daughter. Didnt see a soul around the property and even a few kms down the road. The property entrance had logs all over and if you dont read the signs properly you may think noone ever stays in this property. I managed to call couple of other places where they offered the same price which was a 10 min drive to cradle. I didnt get any refund u fortunately even though I think I deserved it considering there were 4 to 5 big spiders in the room that I didnt sign up too !! All the furniture was quite old and dated. It felt like this property could come down at any moment!! See it for yourself if you dont believe me !! Also despite being a popular time for tourists most of the properties around had quite a lot of guests but this accommodation was practically empty. The sofas had dust on them. Scary!!

  Farm stay

  The place is easy to find and located nearby Sheffield town. Alan provide easy check-in and when we arrived they even indicated our surname at the entrance of the lovely cottage. There are many animals in the farm that we seen such as yark, horse, chickens, wallaby and rabbits etc. There is an activity center located near our cottage, inside got different gaming consoles, snooker tables and movies to keep us occupied. The cottage wifi signal is good, with heater and the bed is soft, we have a good sleep for the night, highly recommended and the vintage feel is just awesome.
