  Wonderful character house and hosts

  We recently stayed for 2 nights in Woodsy House. Selene and Shane the owners were very welcoming from the moment we arrived until we left. On arrival Shane made us coffee and gave us homemade cake whilst he showed us the attractions in the area. Our room was furnished with lovely antiques and a very comfortable bed. The bathroom is not ensuite but each room has access to a private bathroom. We sampled the optional breakfast and it was delicious and well worth paying the extra $14 dollars as it set us up for the day. All in all we had a wonderful stay and felt like old friends within minutes of our arrival.

  Captivating

  I recently had the liberty of spending a night at Woodsy House, Nelson, NZ. I have stayed in several B&B's and this one by far tops them all. The house itself is captivating, the feeling is totally welcoming and warm. My room named "Topaz" was decent-sized and comfy, with a very plush bed and the bathroom was lovely. Breakfast was delish, it was simply tasty, I don't think anyone will be disappointed. Selene and Shane were very welcoming and helpful.

  Welcoming Retreat

  A relaxing, comfortable retreat in a period setting with charming gardens overlooking Nelson city. The proprietors are friendly and thoughtful who made our stay relaxing and enjoyable. A short pleasant walk into the city. Nelson is a craft beer hot spot.

  Different

  Perhaps not the easiest to find, but it's tucked away with lovely views over Nelson from the garden. We ate our dinner out there. Quirky place with interesting pieces of furniture in the bedrooms and public areas. Had the downstairs twin room, with easy access to a comfy lounge with tea and coffee, and a TV. Our bathroom was private but not ensuite; bathrobes supplied for the short walk down the hall. Short walk into town and also to the Centre of NZ walk. Hosts were very friendly, interesting and helpful. The breakfast (extra) was all home grown or organic - delicious cereal, muffin and toast.

  Amazing Views

  A great stay in a quiet spot of Nelson. A brilliant panoramic view of the city and surrounding areas. Only a short walk 10 minute walk to town to enjoy plenty of food and drink options. Owners were welcoming and respectful of your privacy. Our own bathroom although not en suite. Bath robes were a nice touch and the bed was very comfy. Definitely recommend
