  Terrible Experience

  Hi I would suggest never to book this accomodation. The manager is very rough and not at all helpful at all. I had very disappointing experinece with them. They promise a price for accomodation and when you call to finalse it next day they increase the price saying they had new staff and she gave wrong price. This is unbelievable. The manager was very rude and said they it my choice to book at that price or not.

  Great Location

  Basic but Clean and tidy room, king size bed, handy to beach and shops (walking distance), good cafe on site, free off street parking, pool with good relaxing area. Bit of highway noise but ok .......

  Room was good very clean and tidy didnt hear a lot of road noise so got a good nights sleep the bed was ok air cond nice and cold close to shops and places to eat helpful at the front desk would stay there again

  Excellent

  What a lovely surprise!! After having my flights cancelled due to Bush fires and just returning after an os holiday $$$$ I needed some where cost effective I was very fortunate to have found Montego and not only was it sparkling clean pool grounds and room the managers were awesome Mimi and Robert could not have done mire to have made my visit a great one!! Their beautiful boys took my luggage to my room, Mimi gave me water, such genuinely lovely people A few blocks to beautiful beach and all the conveniences right in your doorstep a real gem Very happy and highly recommend this property Thank u Robert and Mimi Tanea Lee

  Horrible Customer Service, Decieving and Dirty Facilities

  I am deeply disappointed and disgusted my the service I received at Montego Mermaid Beach Motel. I chose to stay at the Montego Mermaid Beach Motel because of its recent renovations that are displayed all over its website. I even spared extra money to upgrade to a superior double room with a balcony. When I arrived, my partner and I stood at reception waiting to be greeted for several minutes. We had to call out to be have someone come and see us for check in. The woman looked like she was too busy watching TV to be greeting her guests. This was not a good start for us. When we arrived to our room we were horrified that our room was nothing like it was pictured on the website. We saw photos of wooden floors, comfy new couches, newly painted walls and tidy kitchen spaces. Our room was the complete opposite. It was covered in old, dirty-stained carpet which looked like it hadnt been cleaned. There was old furniture, no decoration to the point it felt very dark and depressing and my allergies were playing up from dust-mites after 15 minutes of arrival. I specifically requested to have wooden floors in my comments when booking and this was not honoured. I was deeply upset and had to leave the motel immediately. I tried to call reception and the lady on the phone was argumentative and unwillingly to help. I requested to move rooms and was refused and spoken down to like a child. She was not interested in helping me or did not care about the quality of my stay. I told her I had horrible allergies to the room and could not stay there. Due to my requests being ignored and be feeling so uncomfortable about staying there, I asked to be refunded and to check out to which she refused a refund. I was in tears after our conversation and have never felt so disrespected due to such a poor level of customer service. I was so upset I decided to book another hotel to stay at the night as my whole weekend felt ruined. My partner and I were looking forward to this week to celebrate our five-year anniversary. I ended up having to pay another $250 at another hotel where I received excellent value for my money. To top off such a horrible experience already, I immediately checked out after I booked a new hotel, and half an hour later, my exact room was advertised on booking.com again with vacancy for the same night. It was booked within the hour. Not only was I refused a refund, the motel kept my money and received quite the profit in having someone else pay again. They wouldnt of even had time to clean the room. I would like to be contacted from both the motel management and booking.com about this disgusting and disappointing visit. I will be spreading my review on all possible platforms until I receive appropriate compensation and a refund for this experience.
