Great course, lousy restaurantHad a Group golfer package. Course and accommodations were great but the restaurant has the worst service. We ate both lunch and dinner there and both times the service was very poor. Staff takes your order, you pay and then they bring your food to you. Period. They don't clean tables, don't refill napkin holders on tables, don't attend to anything. They stand behind the counter. When your food is ready, they bring it to your table and walk away. Want ketchup, silverware, salt/pepper? Get it yourself. $11.50 for a hamburger w zero service. The worst was dinner. Three of us had sandwiches. The 4th ordered a pizza. The pizza came 30 minutes after everyone else had their food. We were all done. The 4th golfer ended up taking it as a carry out. No apology. Nothing. Extremely disappointing. Training needed.

View of Torch LakeWe did enjoy the morning view of Torch lake but wish the trees would have been trimmed back a little to be able to see it better. The condos we stayed in were equipped well but we had to battle a bug infestation the whole week.... it was so frustrating. We were told if we were from here we would be use to the infestation! Has made us rethink a future visit.

Beautiful views. My wife and I were very impressed with the lodging and O M G, the view from our room was truly amazing. We were there in the fall and it could not have been more beautiful. We aren't golfers but there was still pleanty to do. There is an orchard at the turn that has the best home made pies ever. Day trips to Charlevoix, Traverse City and Bellaire were very enjoyable. If you're looking for some "down time" and just need to relax to unwind, this is a must go to resort!

perfect Golf getawayGreat staff, courses, lodging. Will work hard to accomidate your dream trip. They are flexible and the on site staff is very friendly. The courses offer challneges for low handicappers yet are playable enough for everyone.

DisappointingDisappointed is the best way to describe my feeling about this place. I'll try to sum it up the best I can. My wife and I did an overnight package thru Group Golfer. One night stay and two rounds of golf from a choice if three of their courses. Their best course, Sundance wasn't an option. No biggie, we chose Torch and Antrim Dells. Little confusing to check in. Go here, then go here, now back here, can't check in yet, golf first, then come back, etc. Just seemed like more of a hassle than it needed to be. They really need one centralized building where everything can take place. On to the golf. Torch course had a handful of decent holes, but many were average at best. Worst part was the lack of a ranger on the course. The pace of play was HORRIBLE. We waited for a foursome from the second hole on. They refused to let us play thru. A foursome of drinks who thought they were on the tour. Lining up putts for two minutes while putting for triple...we all know the type. Do your thing, but my god, let people thru. On hole #7, the signature hole I think, we saw the tee box empty and assumed the group stopped at the clubhouse and we were finally able to get past. Nope, these dudes came out of the woods where they were looking for balls. They STILL didn't let us play thru. They proceeded to toss grass in the air before their tee shot, only to duff it 40 yards. Then, they Tee'd up a 2nd ball and did it again. All while we waited. We finally skipped a couple hole to get last them only to get behind another clueless foursome. I get there's times that pace of play is an issue, but when a course is busy, and you call yourself a "golf resort", you need to have a ranger keeping a little control of things. There also wasn't a beverage cart to be seen. Accommodations were decent overall. Basically a small condo unit. We had a Jacuzzi tub in the bathroom even. Great view overlooking one of the holes and a view of Torch Lake. I'd suggest having a deadbolt on the doors, but whatever. No complaints with where we stayed. Next day we played the Antrim Dells course which was about 10 minutes north of the "resort". This course was far and away better. Staff was friendly and helpful, the course itself was in much better condition the Torch and the layout was better also. Just a totally better experience. Bottom line, we laid $99 to play 36 holes and stay the night. For that price, it was worth it. However, I wouldn't do it again even though technically it's a great deal based on normal prices of staying and playing even with their normal packages. If you do ever go, I'd avoid Torch. Play Sundance, Antrim Dells or Charlevoix CC.
