Established in 1995, this 20-storey hotel comprises 189 rooms and suites, with standard rooms measuring 19 m². Fully air-conditioned, the hotel includes a lobby with 24-hour reception and check-out service, hotel safe, currency exchange facilities, cloakroom and lift access. On-site facilities include a newspaper stand, hairdressing salon, night club and casino. Dining options include a café, a bar and restaurants, whilst business guests will appreciate the business centre and meeting rooms. WLAN Internet access and room and laundry services are provided and guests arriving by car can leave their vehicles in the nearby car park.The hotel grounds include an indoor swimming pool and a hot tub. There is a sauna centre on site with saunas and steam rooms, and packages such as pedicures, traditional Chinese treatments and sunstroke treatments are available. Guests looking to stay in shape can head to the gym for a workout. Trainers are on hand and women's aerobics classes, exercise classes and dance classes (also for children) are all on offer. An entertainment programme is provided and coffee can be purchased in the 3D Space.The restaurant serves an evening set menu comprising Chinese and Western dishes, including beef steak, pasta, sandwiches, children's set menu, lover's set menu and much more. A continental breakfast is served daily and midday and evening meals are also available à la carte.

    Average Chinese hotel rather than western.

    We stayed here in an emergency situation. Our flight was cancelled so we needed a bed for the night. It's a 5 star hotel but definitely not by western standards. The lobby is grand and although friendly, the staff do not appear to speak English. We arrived at 23.00 and the bell boys had gone home so we took our own luggage to the rooms, there are elevators. There was no bar and no wifi The corridors have no character. Our room was a good size with twin beds. There was a kettle and cups but no spoon. Bathrobes and slippers were provided and a limited supply of toiletries. There was only half a toilet roll and very few tissues. The bed was firm but very comfortable. There was a nice easy chair, footstool and desk. The room smelt of cigarettes. There was also a lot of noise in the corridors in the early hours, banging on doors and shouting. The bathroom was a reasonable size, with a walk in shower of a good size. The bathroom looked smart and clean but on walking into the shower cubicle it smelt extremely damp and unpleasant. The shower also leaked. It was obvious why - the plug hole did not drain away quickly and there was a large gap under the shower door. We need a bath towel and the bath mat to mop it up. There were sufficient towels which were very nice but they were quite small. Breakfast said it was western but it wasn't. I only found toast and orange juice that wasn't chinese.

    Higher-end hotel in Yichang

    I was visiting a local organization, who arranged for me to stay in this hotel. Based on the reviews on TripAdvisor, I was a bit concerned before I my trip. But those concerns were allayed when I arrived. The hotel has an opulent lobby and I was placed in one of the better suites in the hotel. The suite was lavishly furnished with antique (or antique-inspired) objects. The bed was extremely comfortable and the bathroom could satisfy the most finnicky traveller. The buffets for breakfast and lunch were bountiful and the hotel staff was genial. All in all, a comfortable stay.
