Beautiful, Lazy ShreveportThis beautiful house was a delight to stay in. Jimmy & Brian bring the lade-back character of the South to reality to staying in Shreveport. Breakfasts are the best and satisfying. The room and bed was very comfortable, securing a good nights rest. The full-size king bed made the room seem small, though, opening up to a second story porch where we sat and relaxed after a day of sight seeing, made up for this. Hot water was available right away in the shower/tub, with a strong flow.

Cant wait to return!Stayed here one night while attending a concert and loved it. The house is immaculately kept and filled with beautiful antiques and stories. Jimmy and Brian are amazing host, listening to Jimmys stories and his passion for his Bed and Breakfast were priceless and is what sets this Bed and Breakfast apart from others. The breakfast was amazing, Jimmys tomato grits are wonderful, and the homemade fried pies were my favorite. I will definitely return when visiting Shreveport!

Spontaneous decision to stayWe were attending the Beer BQ & Blues event,We decided to stay in town as we live 3 hrs plus away. I saw a review saying that Fairfield Inn is the best kept secret in Shreveport. So we decided to try and reach out and see if there was a room. John. Wasn't om location but said hold on I'm on my way. He showed us around spend quit some time with is talking about the art and some history of he and his family. When he showed us our room we were elated! Charming, elegant and perfectly done on suite. We definitely recommend staying at these two locations that are across the street from each other as it will not disappoint. And just wait for breakfast, it was outstanding in every way! The spontaneous decision to stay in Shreveport led to the most unique and perfect B&B experience we have had in the USA. Cannot wait to come back!

What more to add?My wife and I chose the property based on the reviews (as I always do). We were not disappointed, mainly because of the friendliness and care given to us by Jimmy and Brian, the proprietors. The breakfast was wonderful (as an aside, Jimmie publishes a cookbook!), and the homemade jellies and turnovers are not to be missed. My favorite was the coconut, although the blackberry and apple were not far behind. I think there is a peach as well, but by that time I was too full with the sausages, the bacon, the scrambled eggs, the mushrooms and the homemade breads. Next time I'll pace myself better. The home is located in the Fairfield Historic District and is surrounded by beautiful homes and gardens where you see how the very wealthy outdid each other in home building in the early 1900's. Be sure to stroll around. It is also convenient to all other attractions (read casinos) in Shreveport/Bossier

Cute & LovelyMy fiancé and I stayed here on a trip from Lubbock to New Orleans. We arrived in the summer twilight and the bistro light over the parking area welcomed uswe knew we were in for something special. Because of our late arrival, Brian wasnt able to welcome us but called us to give directions on how to get in the house, as well as sent us a detailed email. Every detail in the house is carefully crafted. The decor is souther antiquedainty pieces, art, and antique quilting give the home the coziest of atmospheres. Despite all of the antiques, the house is incredible clean and free of dust! We stayed in the Jana Roberta room that was plush and lovey with pillows, quilts, and art boarding the walls. The room had its own bathroom. The shower head was the ideal pressure and hot water came quickly. The bathroom was incredibly clean and came stocked with lots of towels and two cozy robes. Brian serves breakfast between 9-10am. When we walked downstairs at 9:05am, Brian showed us to the dining room where hot tea, coffee, pastries, cheese, and fruit were waitinghis homemade pair butter was amazing! Now, everyone knows about Brians pies and I wont deny how decadent they are, but the whole breakfast was amazing! That morning, we had scrambled eggs, bacon, two types of sausages, and sautéed mushrooms. But like I said, the pies are out of this world. While we were eating the pies, Brian came into the dining room and talked to us. We had easy conversation about our travels and favorite restaurants. We left around 11:30am and check out was as simple as leaving the key in the room. Before leaving, we walked around the property which is beautifully landscaped. Our only regret is not arriving early enough to have a glass of wine on the patio or on our rooms balcony! 2439 Fairfield is a little slice of heaven in Shreveport and makes for an relaxing stay to break up the drive between west Texas and south Louisiana.
