Strange location but friendly staff and clean faciltiesThis hotel is located in a backstreet area surrounded by wild land and old buildings. However, this means that it is at least peaceful and only a few minutes walk away from a very busy main road into town. Staff were very helpful and friendly and allowed us to check in early, as we were tired after our early morning arrival. We only spent one night and didn't use the pool or sauna. The room was comfortable with a fridge and private bathroom, though no hot drinks facilities in the rooms. For the price we paid it was very good value. A couple of towel hooks or rails in the bathroom would be good, as well as signs in English. The walls were rather thin and we were kept awake by the 'activities' of 'at least' two people in the room next door until about 3 am!!

The coldest, most unpleasant hotel staff I've come accross. We were travelling through Barnaul on a charity rally through 18 countries. As you can imagine this involved staying in a lot of hotels and this, hands down was the worst hotel experience of the trip. The woman behind reception was extremely unpleasant at all times during our stay. She refused to greet us and if anything seemed annoyed with our arrival. Of the three rooms we took, each managed to smell awful in a completely unique way. The beds themselves were damp, which meant none of us slept, and there was nothing to keep the rooms cool but a tiny flimsy fan. Also, in two of the three rooms there was no WiFi reception. We understand that this is budget accommodation, but there's no reason why paying less should mean having to deal with awful, rude staff. At one point we tried to ask about the pool but were told there wasn't one, despite the fact that there is one listed in the description. The highlight of our stay here, by far, was seeing the back of this place and its staff.

For the price pretty good.Good for the price. It's cheap but it's clean, staff are nice and helpful. Rooms are warm. Decor is interesting but for the price you can't be too worried. Embrace it. Parking is a little suspect, as area doesn't look fantastic but it is right across from 24 hour reception. Close to other stuff, shops, restaurants etc.
