  An excellent stay

  Admittedly we only booked this place as we were searching for pet friendly accommodation to break up the drive from Mackay to Brisbane. We didn't end up bringing our dog but I'm glad we booked here. Everything was spotless when we checked in, and there is complimentary wifi and cereal and coffee for the next morning. It's an easy walk into town but it's also nice to relax there, we had a good afternoon watching the cricket on the big tv in the air con with some drinks. Would definitely stay again!

  Quiet, well appointed, friendly

  We stayed for a night. Mel the host was relaxed and welcoming. The rooms were modern, very clean and well fitted out. There was a large lounge room and a good size bedroom with an ensuite bathroom. Its located near Bargara Beach and an easy 10 minute drive to Bundaberg.

  Cheap

  Cheap - I don't mean the room rate. From the small patio in front of the unit (I had number 2) you look across a suburban street, then across a narrow isthmus of fairway that has the 12th tee at one end, and then the main road into Bargara runs parallel to the fairway. The major shopping centre is about 150 metres away and this also attracts much traffic. This all means that there is a considerable volume of traffic flowing around this immediate area. That cannot be helped but given that this accommodation is a relatively new build I would have thought that some consideration would have been given to noise dampening if not sound proofing. That is not the case. The floor in the living area is polished concrete. I assume this is because they allow dogs. The bedroom is carpeted. There is a bench and a couple of stools provided. There is no table where you could eat meals or do some work. There is also a big three seater lounge and a large coffee table in this space. There is an air-conditioning unit in the living area but just a fan in the bedroom. That shouldn't pose a problem though in hot weather. The two b&b units are side by side and once again it appears that no consideration has been given to noise transfer. You can clearly hear people conversing in the next unit. I don't know if the sound is travelling through the wall or the ceiling but it is a concern. Luckily no 'boom-boom' being played while I was there. The unit was pretty clean. The car parking is good. The internet and Wi-Fi are excellent. They supply a bit of breakfast which is sufficient. The coffee table had the wobbles and all that was required was that the bolts needed tightening but obviously that had not been done for some time. The bathroom is cramped and there is nowhere to leave opened luggage so that you can access it. There are two access points. The access hallway from where you get the key from the wall safe is in effect dead space. If you have dogs I guess it is an attractive option. If not then...

  Absolutely Delightful

  Needed a one night stop on our drive from Airlie to theGold Coast with our dog in tow. This B&B was a gem. Pet friendly, clean and well equipped we would stay here again in a heartbeat. We were SOO comfortable. Thank you.

  Weekend away

  First time here at this wonderful accommodation. Close to shopping centre golf club Im so impressed with the accommodation its pet friendly. Its clean has all your requirements. Actually its more then a motel or hotel would supply. Beds are so comfortable very modern inside aircon. Beautiful bathroom shower. I cant wrap this place enough. Mel made me feel so welcome. Thank you 12th tee. Ill be booking again ...!
