  Glorified (?) hostel

  I was there with my wife in a double room. Now don't get me wrong, the room was confortable and clean, and the personnel very nice and friendly (even if their English could have been a little better). What we really disliked though was more than a single thing. Every morning we'd wake up to the sewage stink coming from our bathroom, where the sink had cold water just for one day (hot water was usable though). I was puzzled by the presence of a multi-function toilet (whose functions we couldn't really use, being everything written in Chinese) in a bathroom, whose corner were black with mold. The walls were incredibly thin and we could hear every Skype call from the people around us, when they got into their room at night, when they showered, etc. Last but not the least a "traditional Taiwanese breakfast" was included in the price we paid. Well... Every morning there was a note in the "dining room" stating that "only for this day" they didn't have a lot of choice to offer. There were rice, peanuts, eggs and toasts... And that was it. Eventually we had to have breakfast each day somewhere else.

  Clean and big room with smoking smell

  We were here for 1 night in the first day in Taipei. The hotel is situated near the MRT station and fortunately it is not far from Sogo department store, so we could go to have something to eat very easy. They allowed us to check in at 3.00 pm. The room was big, beautiful, and clean. The toilet with the electronic flushing machine is really good. I really like this flushing matchine!!!! (It looked like I am in Tokyo city). Breakfast is OK. One thing that I did not like is the smoking smell in the room. The hotel said that this is none smoking room ( and also have the sign of smoking room too). But there are the smoking smell!!! The hotel staff is OK, some staff can speak English, but some staff could not speak English. I think this hotel is in very good area and the room is nice and they has breakfast.

  Convenient and Clean

  Stayed here after my climb. Only for a night but it is located near subway and easy to find. There are many small local eateries around as well as big malls and supermarkets. Convenient to get to airport as well as there's direct airport express bus just nearby. Downside though is the shared bathrooms are meant for both males & females. Located between a female & male dormitory. However, it also offers normal hotel style rooms as well as small dorm for 4 which is nice for families. The lounge/common areas allows one to wash or keep stuff as well as affordable breakfast. Dormitory upper deck bed access through proper staircases built next to the beds unlike those bunk bed stairs.

  Excellent hotel

  This was one neat clean and well located hotel in the city. Breakfast was average . Overall staff professional but cold . Serivices good. The nearby eating places shopping stores and shops excellent . Some happy people and limited traffic. Nice greenery.

  Clean but overpriced, poor service

  Got a private room here which was fine. Very clean. Nice room. But that's it. The breakfast was a ticket to a sandwich shop down the street. So basic. They also made you collect new tickets every day and refused to give them more than 1 day in advance. Absolutely worthless. I chose this place because I was solo traveling and I wanted to see if I could meet other travelers. That didnt happen as the communal spots are few and far between, so no one is ever in there. On top of that, something went wrong with my hotel key and I was locked out of my room late at night when I was trying to go to bed. It took them 30 minutes to get my door open. You can find cheaper hotels just as nice. Not recommended.
